HISE can respond to controller events and program change events independently. My latest tutorial (on Patreon) covers this but it's all in the https://docs.hise.audio/ and API browser.

@Christoph-Hart said in Drag & Drop Plugin Player Feature (Vertical or Horizontal):

Well one of the examples you posted are literally made with HISE, so yes, it's definitely possible, but as Lindon said, you need to code it yourself with ScriptPanels.

It would be awesome if there is an example, at least a starting point, especially for the uneducated ones abıut the drag n drop like me.

However I don't see any benefit in making a wrapper plugin with drag and drop - it's basically just an host within a host and nothing special to HISE to it.

Yeah it is host in a host but makes great workflow. I believe that this will bring really good benefits. Especially for the fx plugin designers.

@LeeC first make sure your HISE is pointing at the correct code

    File>Preferences>Development>Hise Path

    @LeeC

First make sure you are set up correctly:

    HISE-scriptnode(or whatever you called it)>tools>SDK>

in here you should have two folders called:

    VST3 SDK

    and

    ASIOSDK2.3

Once thats sorted then in projucer in the header search paths (for BOTH release versions ) you need this:

    ../../../../tools/SDK/ASIOSDK2.3/common

To change the volume you can use Message.setGain();. I don't think there is a way to change the panning. Do you need to do this in realtime? If not you can set these parameters in the mapping editor.

@ustk Yeah, I just changed that to 32. It's built fine and loads up in Ableton. Not sure if all the 32 channels are there and working though as it still only shows 16.

@clumsybear Cheers dude. I didn't think to try those.

There are some other quite cool sounding ones in the math folder as well after a quick test just.

Not exactly what I was thinking but pow, add, div, sqrt, and sub all have some quite interesting distortions going on. They all sound like they could be pretty hard to tame though on first listen. Some seem to jump from zero to 10.000 miles an hour very quickly 🤣

I was hoping for something just like the normal saturation in the usual HISE modules, but in scriptnode so that I can use it in a multiband setup. They could be useful though. I'll try a few things. Thanks man.

@arminh If you have a company then you probably already have a DUNS. If you're registering as an individual then you won't have and don't need a DUNS. I registered as my company.

@d-healey I don't think so, when it doesn't animate, there's just no motion at all.

but how should I do that? You pass a string to a OS call and get a file handle back. I would have to then query the filename from the handle and match it with the input, which is really hacky and adds performance overhead for 0.00001% of all cases where somebody makes a case mistake.
