So as long as you don't exceed 1024 points it should be OK as Christoph explained. So in the case of a goniometer it's rather sufficient ;)

Would also be helpful if a panel showed a "dim star" or something to indicate that it has a "save in preset" component.
I realize this is minor , but could be nice not having to open the panels and search.

That's it!! It does go away when only one sustained note is happening. With the core_smoother module, I can tell it is not effecting the sound and is only a cosmetic thing. Thank you.

I was wondering why the heck I couldn't see the creation of a DSP network in the onInit of some script modulator snippets...

The DSP network is owned by the script processor and not the scripting engine (like for example a timer object), so you don't need to call this method in order to create a Network - you still can do, but it's not required anymore. Instead you can use that fancy popup, but that doesn't popup did indeed not show up in an external floating window until now.
