@optimistic You need to change the name of the xml and the xml in the uidata folder, and also inside the xmls there will be references that need to be changed.

yeah thats what i wanted to do - but clearly you cant - it just saves me more FX componentry in the send fxs of my mega-synth...

Presets don't affect samplers (at least not directly). A preset saves/restores only the controls on you UI.

You probably want something like this:

HISE can't load soundfonts. It can load flac and probably aiff but generally it's best to stick to .wav and then convert them to .ch within HISE. It can also import the mapping data from SFZs.
