Its almost like something is wrong here in the SN environment, unless I am misunderstanding how the splitter chain works.
Like in this example ..the splitter chain should have a stereo signal going through each chain.
BUT...if you bring up the feedback of "Chain" 1 its only heard in one speaker , and then when you engage "Chain" there is some sort of weird phasing , even though the gain of that chain is down.

So , think something is wrong , I have had some channel weirdness in my experiments as well.

@TNTHM there is a demo of a 4 band eq available on Christoph hart's github. you modify it to have 6 bands. but it's still an equalizer parameters and not graphic

@Christoph-Hart Absolutely! I'm just playing around with it atm and prefer the Ableton workspace for editing the samples, as well as rapidly testing different FX chains and whatnot, to see which direction to take it.

This particular bass instrument is using velocity layers to trigger different articulations. 1-30 = mutes, 31-55 = finger etc. There are RR's of the attack samples, but that may not have been clear in the video.

How would polyphony work? I read another thread where you mentioned having to write a new class or something to manage multiple notes.

I'm also excited to see what kind of drum sounds this can make, using attack samples. The combination of real attack samples to trigger the delay + convolution seems to get me about 80% of the way there, without needing to know any 900iq equations which is super nice.

Actually, The package itself is designed to be always up to date by parsing the current HISE git folder.
But, since I didn't look to the HISE folders\API structure for a while (I just can't find any commit that compiles on my machine), It can leak some API calls.
Still, the package present in packagecontorl.io and you can try it.

I haven't tested this, but it should work. I've only applied the silencing to the on note on callback but you'd probably want to add it to on note off and on controller too.

@d-healey i just tried your script, it had the same issues as the original one before.
Time Attenuation just "marches" across the table every note press instead of actually giving the note length.

EDIT: Here's a video for demonstration:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is_Q9DLsnK0&feature=youtu.be

I assume the fix is the same as i did for the first one, apparently changing the collection type for the noteLength to an Array fixes it for me.

I've started putting paths that I use often into a dedicated file that's part of my usual framework. There's only two icons in there at the mo but as I use more I'll add them.

Bump... (again. Really struggling with this guys. Can someone please help?) 🤞 😧

@SteveRiggs said in RemarkableX Snippet Kit...:

    Hi, again guys,

I’m still on a mission trying to work out this DeEsser (as I can only use HISE 1.6.0 at the moment for this project so have no linkwitz filters yet. It’s better for me to also learn the harder way to do things first) 😎

@remarkablex I’ve been experimenting with that cool splitter you made trying to turn it into the vocal DeEsser I’m imagining.

I’ve modified a few things so far. The main things being:

I added a compressor underneath the '5&6 Out' gain module, and routed it to 5&6, the same channel as the mid-band eq, and that seems to be kind of working. The compression works nicely on the mid-band anyway...

I have disabled the EQ1 (Low Pass) & EQ3 (High Pass) and removed one of the FloatingTiles on the EQ display so it focuses in more on where the compression would be happening in the crossover between the 2 bands.

The 2 problems I’m having though are:

When the processed output button is pressed, it only sends sound to the right speaker (I checked all your routings but nothing looks wrong)

My processed signal is now filtered because of the EQ2 mid-band EQ curve.

I’ve been trying to think of a solution to get rid of the eq cut, and so far I came up with the idea of maybe adding another EQ module also routed to 5&6 to compensate for the EQ cuts by having the gain levels inverted and linking them to the original eq’s frequency parameters somehow so they move at same time, just so that the only signal getting processed (compressed) is the range between the two chosen frequencies, and there is no audible eq'ing or filtering going on. The only processing I would like is just the compressor ducking the volume in the specified range on the mid-band eq.

I’ll put a snippet below. It’s very close already I think, apart from those small couple of things I can’t seem to work out.

If you or anyone would be so kind to point me in the right direction of getting it functioning the way I’m imagining it then I would be eternally grateful 🙂

@Christoph-Hart Well this is AWESOME!!!! The only thing cant do it to use Ooura FFT to avoid those artifacts (same thing as happened with Convolution)
    Untitled 1.mp3

    // oninit const var ConvolutionReverb1 = Synth.getEffect("Convolution Reverb1"); // Set the FFT type // 0 = best available // 1 = IPP // 2 = Apple Accelerate // 3 = Ooura FFT (slower fallback, but most portable) ConvolutionReverb1.setAttribute(ConvolutionReverb1.FFTType, 3);
