@TNTHM Yeah, just as you said :) A parameter = a control so just put in your script, when the control is activated do what you want it to do.

You can load it into a convolution reverb and just run a single impulse through it, but then you‘ll have the most inefficient sample player on the entire planet.

@Lindon OK well its a LOT better using the Ladder filter - the Moog is, as has been mentioned, really not worth the time. "Complex" audio can at times expose the limitations in the filters(more than one of them) but I can live with it.

It just leaves me wondering about the filters in Kontakt - which exhibit none of these problems. My knowledge of filter design is limited to say the least - but my mental model says its all about working out the coefficients and applying them - so I cant see why NI's filters seem much more "friendly" - but as I say I'm no filter designer...

If you don't go into analogue circuit modelling, the basic building blocks of distortion are oversampling, filtering and all kinds of wave shaping.

@Christoph-Hart Oh you make C++ HISE seem so easy and tempting. I know that we've talked about a reasonable limit for the number of samplers in a project as being < 16, but what about in a multi-timbral plugin where each individual instrument might be using 4 samplers?

I would argue that you should leave this up to the user. Nothing is worse than a plugin that is overriding user presets that the user may have modified.

I am using both on the plugin. But I like having the option to control the makeup manually as well as using the auto makeup ;)
