Whenever you can avoid using globals, go for it and in this case a hidden UI element is the better option.

You never "need" namespaces, but you should use them to organise your code to make it easier to manage. And definitely keep them in separate files.

The custom LAF is not absolutely stable. It is at the moment the main crashing reason on my side. To overcome this I generally develop without and activate it the later I can.
I’ve never found a way to point at the reason it crashes as all my attempts showed me it is always something else...
However @Christoph-Hart said a few weeks ago that one should definitely not use external variables in a custom LAF or sure it will cause some troubles.
About that I still have no answer if we can use external colour values or if this enters in the same paradigm, And what about using a loaded path...

@Christoph-Hart I tried to make a dspNetwork in a scripted envelope and just inserted a node.add to test it, but no modulation signal is coming out... I don't know if this should work or if the scripted envelope is deprecated. You said once that it has been removed to address scripted envelope via scriptnode so I thought dspNetwork was the way to go.
Also accessing a scriptnode parameter in the scripted envelope weirdly toggles the mono/poly mode...

@LeeC Nice, I have version 11 of Parallels Desktop and I remember I had problems, I think it was the installation of ipp, I guess it's working better in the later versions of Parallels...
