Scriptnode itself has no memory, so you'll have to do either FAUST or SNEX (which act as nodes in scriptnode) to achieve that. You can then do the processing in Scriptnode or finish it where you started it.

RNBO is another option but I'm not familiar with it at all so I can't tell whether it has any memory mechanisms that will let you execute lookahead.

From what I can see, by default the scriptnode Peak node outputs a value between 0-1 the same as what we get when we use Effect.getCurrentLevel() from the main modules.

If this is true then I guess I can proceed with something like Engine.getDecibelsForGainFactor(PeakOut) to convert the SN peak output to db.

Terms are important. People often think they have a VU meter or a peak meter on their interface. But it is not true.
Hise offers none of them in terms of value. but it is good enough for displaying the level. However, there is also something here... The falling of the Hise "peak" meter is linear, but you generally want a log scale. So a conversion has to be made here too. Unless you want a linear display of course...

That brings me to the point where I will try to make a pull request tonight that makes the Hise meter logarithmic. (the peakLevel value stays unchanged as it is not related, it is just the visual falling of the meter. But maybe people like it as it is, I personally don't like linear meters... So Christoph might not accept it ;)

@Natan I'm using last develop version. A snippet won't help much because it's not a script-related function, but here is the option you have to enable before compiling HISE :
ReadOnlyPresets.jpg.

Once done, just save your factory presets within HISE and they will be automatically set as 'Read-Only' when you compile your plugin.

multiple versions of projucer cause problems on windows 10. anyway, can you please delete the old version of HISE that you built, should just be one folder and try again

@Christoph-Hart you were right about the scale factor. 0.5 looked a lot sharper!
One last issue... I've notice that chaning the 'scale' for images on HISE does not appear to make any difference to their size on the UI. It's fine for filmstrips but not for images.

Changing the scale to 0.5 (as shown in the screenshot below) does not affect the size of the related image.
The only way to change the size is to use the image resizer using a mouse.
