      @clevername27 Now, here's a little pack of 10 knobs in different colors. Feel free to use it in your GNU/GPL projects.

      The diameter of the knob is 68px each, but to add a shadow I padded all sides, so the effective size is always 120*120.

      Today I'm glad to tell that (of course only with help of this forum) I was able to recreate and even improve all of my former Kontakt instruments in HISE to my full satisfaction.

      And here are some plastic switches (6-strip, but to avoid redundancy, only 2 shown here).

      And here are some buttons. To be exact: Buttons for indicating on and off conditions, including pressed versions for each.

    • RE: Audio stops when Envelope Decay reaches -61 dBFs – Bug or setting?

      Veery nice! Now I have a smooth logarithmic decay stopping at about -100dB.

      And it was a charme to see how easy HISE can be recompiled. Never thought, I would do such things :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

      @clevername27 Allright, man!
      I had a lot of work cutting waveform cycles for my little monosynth. But since some maps are already completed, it turned being fun then 😊

    • RE: Can a instrument have multiple audio output channels?

      Hmm… I'm still having trouble with this.

      I have two Samplers: Bass Drum and Snare Drum, each of them routed to one stereo out on the master container like this:
      routing-diagram.gif
      And I added

      ENABLE_ALL_PEAK_METERS=1
      HISE_NUM_PLUGIN_CHANNELS=4

      Within HISE (standalone) its working all fine, just as in David's video on making the mix mixer.

      However, when I load the plugin (.vst3) into a VST instrument slot in Cubase, both channel pairs are available:
      Bildschirmfoto 2023-04-19 um 10.53.16.png
      But channels 3+4 are not putting out sound (and peak meters stay empty), so my Snare Drum is not playing back.

      What am I missing? Is there some Projucer settings I might need to check?

    • RE: Show and Tell

      By the way, if some of you guys want to have graphics of the UI elements shown here, let me know! I'm gonna share them for free.

      But there's a caveat to it: Most of them are fixed to a certain pixel size. That's because they are based on photos of pieces of gear I don't own anymore (like the above depicted Roland TR-909 or Boss HC-2 style elements). At the time I created strips of them, they were dedicated to Kontakt instruments with a given fixed UI width, so I didn't plan to make them up for scalable Plugins. In my plugins, there's only to choose between display sizes 100 and 200%.

    • Play a sample loop until release only, then continue with single playback of sample end portion

      You might know this feature from Native Instruments Kontakt…

      alt text
      With until release you can set a sample to play a loop until you give a release trigger. So when you release the key, the current loop portion will play back until its end, then not repeat anymore but continue with what's left from the sample after the loop portion.

      Can we please have a feature like this in HISE?

      I'd like to build a sound set that is based on very low frequency sine signals – Playing them back in a mix with the given release of the HISE envelope is just fine. But when played back solo, a little click sound becomes audible. That is because the release slope is a logarithmic decay (depicted with the green wave below). My samples contain end portions, that were applied spline shaped fade outs (depicted by the blue wave below)

    • RE: Vst Instrument without having to install the samples

      @clevername27 I feel you!

      I stopped creating my own plugins because I wouldn't be getting into it enough to fit it to my requirements (I leave that up to the real developers that have way more skills for that matter). But nevermind… It was a lot of fun to experiment with this framework.

      And not to forget: This is a great community here! I never experienced a forum that helped me out so much. Salute to you, @d-healey and the great master @Christoph-Hart !

      Well… if I think about it… I shouldn't bother with it and instead focus on designing my interface in a way it won't urge a user to switch to generic mode :face_with_tears_of_joy:

      @maxtownsley use the 4 pole Ladder, instead. The Moog seems to be stuck in a draft mode, but the Ladder LP does a great job

      To my old machine, it is pretty comfortable to have linear interpolation, I guess 😊

      But I can relate to @ustk it'd be nice to have options.

      @ulrik Weird, this. But surprisingly, when you go directly to imgur and upload (no account required), it works and you can grab the image URL and paste it with the link image tool (7th in row).

    • RE: Building HISE on an Early 2015 MacBookPro

      @Glyn Oh yeah, that's what I would have suggested first – watch David's video on that. That will guide you pretty well through this process.
      And what's important too (maybe David even says that in the video): Make sure you get the appropriate XCode Version for your machine/system. I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 with XCode 10.3. But it might be a different version for yours. You can read details for each version on the version history archive: https://xcodereleases.com/
