Audio loop player question
-
@BWSounds I would check out the CustomSampleImport Demo for the Sampler and go from there. In my experience, it's been way more functional and dependable than the AudioLoopPlayer.

@trillbilly
Ahh yes, I tried it.It’s cool but the updates to the loop player are nice, it’s stable now imo just missing a x fade option,
But it’s easier to sync loops to the daw now which is what I need.
-
@BWSounds I didn't know the LoopPlayer had updates. I'll have to check it out again.
For that reason, I'm of no help.

@BWSounds you can either embed the samples up to a max of 50mb, or extract them as a DAT file. With the DAT file, you’ll need to add the files to the AudioFiles folder and load them into the player from there, compress them to a DAT and ship it via your installer.

@paper_lung
I understand, but the idea of the plugin is for the user to be able to add their one-shot files into the plugin. -
@BWSounds how are you using the looper? Have you got a waveform tile and importing samples that way? Is so, have you got ‘saveinPreset’ enabled on the waveform component? When you save the preset, the currently loaded sample path is saved and should be saved in the preset. If you drag the preset file into a text editor, you should see the file path.

@BWSounds just to clarify as well, the samples aren’t saved/embedded into the preset. The preset loads the sample from the saved file path

yes, that's part of the "problem" I guess... So when I add a audio file, I can't go to the presets with "saveInPreset" enabled... the audio file goes away when I click to the next preset.
then if I set saveInPreset" disabled I can go through the presets and the audio file stays in the waveform component, but I cant save the audio file with the preset or if I save the project in the DAW and open it back up the audio file is gone also.

Solution is here - https://forum.hise.audio/topic/6410/restoring-properties-with-daw-session/17?_=1707946886063
You need to use the preset handler.

@d-healey
ok so I figured out how to make it work for knobs and buttons.... Having trouble doing it for a
audiowaveform component.
