has anyone tried using the pulse downloader for storage and delivering their sample based instruments /products?

@jeffd We're using Wordpress with no issues at all. It's the most tweakable platform by far and I've really enjoyed making custom plugins for it that perform special tasks. With the combination of AWS file storage and distribution, it's hard to beat.
If you're looking for a simple solution and don't want to consult a proper web developer, I would suggest Shopify instead of Wix. It's a pretty robust ecommerce platform that covers all the basics. -
@Dan-Korneff Consider using bunny for your file storage, it's much cheaper than aws and the interface is nicer - there is a WordPress plugin for it too.

@Dan-Korneff
Oh im sure its not Wordpress and just me.
Im just too inexperienced with web dev to get it working im afraidI looked at bunny storage. My website keeps breaking every month it seems. Something to do with either e-commerce or the blocks page builder I’m using

@d-healey I remember seeing this a couple years back. Can't remember why we went with AWS, but Bunny looks great if you just need CDN
-
@Dan-Korneff Yeah I use it for CDN but also now for object storage. I use this plugin - Also cheaper than the S3 one.

@Dan-Korneff
yeah shopify looks better than wix.
I used wix in the past for my photography website.
just tried it again for my vst shop...
oh man, the AI shit is a nightmare, although you can revert back to templates but its not obvious how.I will try shopify with pulse for now...and eventually move over to wordpress if i can ever get this off the ground.

@jeffd my recommendation is to use Gumroad just to get started. I did this before moving onto Shopify, then Wordpress/woocommerce. Gumroad doesn't cost you anything to get going and makes it easy. You can learn things about web-dev as you grow - that's what I did. You can embed Gumroad products on a website of your choosing if you want, as well.
-
hmmm.. maybe gumroad then, ill look at it.
I just want it to look as professional as i can starting out. -
@d-healey ouhouh ! I’m using Bunny storage but didn’t know there was a plugin aside the official Bunny one for the CDN part. I might switch to this plugin instead of doing everything myself, thanks Dave!

@ustk Yeah it's really nice, Brian at Mntra put me onto it
