[bug - fixed!] Timestretching + multi mic = instant crash
-
Make a sample map with just 2 mic samples, merge them into a multi-mic. Enable a time stretching mode and play a note, HISE will crash. Without the mic merge no issue.
Here are test samples + sample map.

@d-healey I may not be doing it right, but seems to work on macOS? (I used the sample map you provided.)

@d-healey Confirmed here on MacOS, using your sample map and enabled the timestretch mode
Hise freezes and I need to force quit -
@d-healey same here

Which commit of HISE are you using?
-
@d-healey Nov 27th.
-
@clevername27 Hmm.. strange that it works for you
-
@d-healey Have you tried in macOS? I know you're a GNU/Linux guy…maybe it has to do with the macOS build of the time-stretch library. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like me to test.

Nope, but the other two ^ say it doesn't work on MacOS for them.

What does the Debug build say? Looks like a easy fix and it's "Teach a man how to fish"-month over here...

WAIT UNTIL SEEK JUCE Assertion failure in StreamingSamplerVoice.cpp:971 terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_function_call' what(): bad_function_call Aborted
-
@d-healey good spot, fixed.
-
@Christoph-Hart Thank you :)
-
@d-healey was this fixed?
Im having a problem with hise crashing when selecting different mic positions in the sampler to edit
-
@jeffd yeah was fixed, sounds like you have a different issue
-
@d-healey ah i figured it out
thanks

The CI for the fix seems to have got stuck https://github.com/christophhart/HISE/actions/runs/12342377762/job/34442128570
