Forum Feature? || 'Snippet Gallery' would be cool...

Besides the great snippets we have available in the snippet browser and the master tutorials, there are some great snippets here on the forum...but sometimes they're so hard to find.

My request is this:
Can we get a user submitted gallery of some sort on the forum?

Somewhere here would be cool.

There could be some predetermined tags to organize them into categories.
A section for a description, a few example pictures and a code snippet would be more than cool!
It would be cool for them to be sorted by upvotes or some kind of rating so we can find the more popular ones easier.

I also thought that a 'Saved Snippets' section on our profiles would be cool so we could easily navigate to ones that we save to our list while browsing the forum.

If there were any thoughts of adding anything to the forum, these are my thoughts.

Ideally we'd be able to submit snippets directly to the snippet browser, but I understand that could cause quite a quality issue.

@Orvillain There could be some kind of curation system. Just for example, if it gets 3 upvotes it gets submitted to the public gallery. If it gets a certain amount of downvotes, it gets removed.

@Christoph-Hart just my opinion, its a mess in there. There are threads in there with nothing in them and random posts that arent supposed to be in that category.

Sorry im a bit OCDish and that room bothers me. lol.

@d-healey I see that some of the snippets there have "added" next to them. Is this the thread that you post to if you're trying to get a snippet published to the snippet browser? (hence the name Waiting Room?). I've honestly never went to that room specifically looking for snippets. There are so many good ones not in that category.

Yeah it's only if people choose to submit them, which would be the same for any other part of the forum.

If you come across a good one in another subforum, just cross post it there with a link to the original topic, the more visibility the better.
