@ulrik I managed to get vst2 working. Just disable the vst3 support in the project settings.

@ulrik sweet! Im down with that. I just seen a couple other plugins on the market that instruct you to do the same thing so guess its a thing rn. Thanks for the tip!

@ulrik Thanks for telling me, I was working on the assumption that the license was the same as VST3 but after some homework I can see that it's not possible to hold both simultaneously!

It is, but you have to already have a VST2 license from years ago, they're no longer issued.

@d-healey Yes I just found this out but thanks for posting that here! Apparently if you accept using the VST3 license it means your VST2 license is now void as well (to my understanding).

Also looking forward to seeing your new tutorials by the way!

that wasnt my understanding when I accepted my VST3 licensing terms....

@ulrik Im trying that method, im not getting any midi into the instrument track im trying to control. Changing those two settings seems simple enough so I figure its something else. Is there a certain function I need to call somewhere to force midi out? I have enable midiout in project settings ticked already.

@Chazrox Do you have a small example snippet?

@ulrik Sorry for the lag response. Forums having issues rn. I can try to see if I can make a smaller example. I'll get back to you soon. 🙏 Thanks!
