Protocol || Compiling MidiFX plugin....

@ulrik dayum.
-
@Chazrox if you only want to control midi you could build it as an instrument and set it to one track and the controlled instrument on another track, then route the midi from track 1 to track 2 in Live
-
@ulrik oh...so would I export it as I have it now? Just as an instrument instead?

I don't know how you have set it up, could you show an example, snippet?

@ulrik I managed to get vst2 working. Just disable the vst3 support in the project settings.
-
@HISEnberg Ok, however I don't have a license for vst 2
-
@ulrik sweet! Im down with that. I just seen a couple other plugins on the market that instruct you to do the same thing so guess its a thing rn. Thanks for the tip!
-
@ulrik Thanks for telling me, I was working on the assumption that the license was the same as VST3 but after some homework I can see that it's not possible to hold both simultaneously!

It is, but you have to already have a VST2 license from years ago, they're no longer issued.
-
@d-healey Yes I just found this out but thanks for posting that here! Apparently if you accept using the VST3 license it means your VST2 license is now void as well (to my understanding).
Also looking forward to seeing your new tutorials by the way!
