I’m looking to create a lufs meter plugin. I’ve found some open source code for one on github and I would like to integrate that code into hise and then build the plugin GUI with hise.

@dustbro @lalalandsynth I'm having trouble locating Simple Gain in the api. I don't see it when I search for "Simple Gain" and I didn't notice it when I scrolled through the full list. Is there a special place to find the modules in the api browser?

@d-healey That makes sense. I would like to do it with a script so it happens in the fx plugin. How do you script this interaction?

I assume it looks something like:

Add gain module
Use script to analyze for a gain change of n dBs over time m ms

I'm just not sure how to write this out in c++. Any suggestions?

If you look in Preferences there should be a box you can tick to enable mono compatibility.

I was thinking that it would be great to be able to use Hise on iOS and Android devices to prepare hise snippets when we are not at our computers. Then you would be able to export the snippet from the device and load it into your computer to put final touches on it and export it. I get that this is probably not a priority or even on your radar at all @Christoph-Hart, I just thought it was a fun idea and worth putting out there.

@myhomestudio Looks like you're missing the xcpetty gem. To install this you need to open the terminal and put:

$ gem install xcpretty

Sounds to me like you want to look under the sliders Component Specific Property and set your middlePosition to 10000 and then under suffix put ms. This will set the middle position of the slider (straight up) to 10000 ms.

If you're only interested in synched, under Component Specific Properties set the min to 1 and the max to 18. Set mode to TempoSynch. Set the step size to 1, and middle position to 9.

Are you saying that you've figured out a way to route signal information from a second audio source to affect the gain level of your track?

Sorry to hear that the problem is so persistent. Sounds like you did a thorough testing.

@yall Well the code that @orange wrote that you are referencing is not an example of sidechaining. It is an example of a tremolo effect. Sidechaining by definition is modulating the volume of one audio signal by passing information about the volume of a second audio signal through a gain or compression algorithm which reacts accordingly. The interplay between the two audio signals is part of what creates the effect. Some of the power of sidechaining is lost when you lose the interplay between audio signals. If you're looking for a periodic gain reduction you could check out the LFO:

Gain > + > Time Varient > LFO Modulator

Where can I find the documentation for the different Processor types? "here" didn't link to anything.
