    • RE: HISE Build Error Issue

      Edit:

I changed to a different Xcode version, the latest one applicable for my OS (Xcode 9.2) and got new issues, "Semantic Issue" with a dropdown FULL of error codes that is too long to list, followed by the Apple LLVM 9.0 Error "Too many errors emitted, stopping now". I have triple checked my work up until this point and am not sure what the cause is? I think my next step will be pulling an older branch of HISE.

    • HISE Build Error Issue

Hello, I just tried building HISE today on my MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 using the latest develop branch following closely to David Healey's video on building HISE. I have built HISE on Windows and Mac before without issue, this time I ran into an error code that resulted in a failed build that I have not encountered yet. I am using Xcode version 8.2.

The error code reads: Apple LLVM 8.0 Error
      Unknown argument: '-faligned-allocation'

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Screenshot attached for reference.

    • Externally Routed Sidechain Options

Hello, I have been trying to figure out how to create a basic sidechain plug-in within HISE. I tried using the two ScriptFX snippets in the example snippets and could not figure out how to get them to work with an external input (ex, kick track from your DAW). Testing it is also somewhat time consuming since I have to compile the plug-in each time since I guess you can't really test this within HISE. I have little to no knowledge of scripting but was hoping to save some time and see if anyone knew how this could be achieved? I am okay using gain modulation for ducking as well as compression, I just want the DAW to be able to recognize a sidechain option (I have successfully gotten this far) and I want it to actually take that input from the DAW and use it to duck the track the plug-in is on, in the DAW (I am yet to get here as this would make it complete).

Any help would be appreciated, I apologize in advance if this is a relatively boring question but I am quite new to HISE still!
