@tod-slaughter Although it's not the main focus of this video I do demonstrate how to merge multi-mics

But here is the best resource for mult-mic info: https://forum.hise.audio/topic/75/multimic-samples

How do you assign gains to each mic position?

@tod-slaughter You need to add a simple gain effect for each mic (put them in the master FX slots) and then you need to route the channels correctly.

Can there be more than 3 or is that the limit?

@tod-slaughter I think you can have up to 8 stereo outs. If you right click in the routing popup you can change the number of channels.

So up to 8 sets of stereo samples can be merged. Interesting

Yes but be aware that multimic samples must have the exact same sample length, so you canβ€˜t throw in arbitrary samples and abuse the multimic system as generic mixing device.

So a baked in "black hole" reverb would have to have the same length as a dry mic and that has to be be planned in from the beginning. One method is by looping all samples and chopping the tails to the same length.

Yes exporting equal length samples from a DAW is not exactly rocket science if you align them vertically πŸ˜‰
