@ustk It happens on Start when playing a midi file and Rotary is on .
Plays fine during the midi file and transitioning between midi files.
STOP , go to start of midi file PLAY and you get this glitch .
Very obvious glitch .Using Reaper on a PC , used this one for music for years , never had a problem like this ?
I could ask someone else to try and see if it happens for them ? -
@lalalandsynth Ok thanks. I will try on my side too, but today is a busy day...
-
@ustk I will also test on the mac later today
-
I couldn't see anything on vi-control so I posted it to the freebies thread there.
-
@d-healey cool mate. didn't find the time. thanks for that.
I'm so happy with results. so much talent here. not just us 4 but many others.
-
@lalalandsynth Ok so after performing some tests I've been able to reproduce the bug in reaper on Windows.
Although reaper on macOS works as expected, like the other DAWs...I am currently trying to figure out what it can be but, there's a big chance we can't do anything as it certainly comes from scriptnode itself.
I'm trying to narrow down the issue so maybe @Christoph-Hart could fix it before v3...?Can you please tell me if it happens or not within other DAWs?
-
@ustk I dont have any other daws here , but I can test in reaper on mac to verify your test.
-
@lalalandsynth I'm pretty sure it's fine on macOS
Maybe someone else can test for us with another DAW on windows?
My bootcamp partition is too small to install anything else, I must extend it... -
Will test it on new UA Luna today
-
Ok, trying it now on Luna (so AudioUnit format). I can hear lots of clicks and pops at almost every note I play and some occasional complete muting of the instrument. But I think this is a Luna-related issue, as in MainStage 3 the instrument behaves fine, sounds good and produces no clicks whatsoever.
I will try it on ProTools in the afternoon. -
@alepan Thanks for the feedback ;)
Tested successfully in PT (made my own AAX) -
Windows / Tracktion Waveform 11 / no problems, no issues - works fine. Already using it in a project!
musictop 6 minutes ago
Windows / Cakewalk Bandlab / no problems, no issues - works fine.
-
I dont get it guys , I have the same issue on the mac .
Note burst , with the rotary on . ( Maybe note burst is the wrong word , some kind of chirpy sound)
So bad in my opinion that i could not use it , very annoying for the ears when stopping starting , when editing.
Try with this midi file.
P10_70 - P10_70-glued render 001.midAlso, there is a clear difference between placing the start cursor on the start of a chord and placing it before and letting it play to the cursor.
It does change depending on how close you are to the start of the file.

Works great here in Cubase 10 Pro. Thanks guys! Btw. some people seem to have problems with Hise builds in Reaper, not the Collab3 but other instruments built in Hise, some synths from Beatskillz I think. So it could be platform wise, something messing with the Reaper in Hise, I dunno, this is just a theory. This is a comment from their youtube promo of a synth/rompler built with Hise,
Leo Krechmer 1 week ago Hope it wont crush reaper like any other plugins of them...
-
@dejans I think this comment is pointing at Beatskillz older product set - built in Maize, only their latest product (RetroVolt) is built in HISE - and it was rigorously tested in HISE on Reaper...
-
@Lindon Ah, ok. Thanks for clearing that up!
