      @dustbro C4D + Octane Render. @remarkablex did it.

The Stereo plug doesn't show up for me in Protools. The one labeled "mono" shows up for both mono and stereo tracks

@dustbro I gave the same "Bundle Identifier" and "Plugin Code" to Mono and Stereo versions. So maybe that's why it doesn't show up. If you remove mono plugin in the AAX directory, then Pro Tools will show stereo version will come. Pro Tools choose one at the same time. Is Mono plugin working? By the way, now I recognized that; the default value of the power switchs are 0. you need to make switchs on.

same soft: C4D, but after trying Arnold and Octane, i use now HDRI studio Rig:
            https://greyscalegorilla.com/downloads/hdri-studio-rig/

powerful photorealistic render more faster tha Arnold and Octane (and you have not to "convert" materials and textures as with A & O). ;)

Really nice GUI. didn't tried yet the FX.

            Excuse me i'm French.

@staiff Yes greyscale gorilla stuff is great. I used hdri studio rig too.

Using software is depends on the choice and in what you feel comfortable. For example Voger design company, which has really great designs, uses only Blender.

It is like daw, today, almost all of the daws have approximately the same functionality. you can make a top record with fl studio (Avicii used that) as much as Pro Tools. The important thing is are you feeling comfortable, using with more flexibility and being creative with your software? If yes, then this software is the good choice for you...

                Yes.
for rendering engines it is a matter of taste. None is better. they will all photorealistic rendering if you set them well.

for DAWs it's the same. Here in France FL studio is considered a DAW for children, Studio One a DAW for amateurs (who do not compose the "good" music because on Studio One). It makes me laugh to read all this on the internet.

We even go (in France) to criticize Win10 - claimed as shit - against Win 7.

I had a grandmother who cooked with old, old-fashioned pans. But she was making food as never before I had my meal (my madeleine de Proust).

Then yes. everything is a matter of taste. As for this FX Noiseash, which looks like many other plugin recreating the Puigtec already. Yes, it's true. But there are some we like to use, others not.

So I will test it, and it's not impossible that I prefer this one to others.

Basically, I create my own VST to feel more comfortable with a device, which already exists, created by other companies; But my version I know, so I master it better.

So to finish this very long text: HDRI studio rig is just an example, you're right Remarkablex, if you prefer Octane and you master it better, then continue with. In any case the rendering you made on this plugin is just ... Woaow! :D

                Excuse me i'm French.

Each plugin is 110 meg, is that a limitation of HISE, seems rather high for an effect ?

Presets are not listed by the host.
There is an audible artefact when changing presets, possibly an issue with HISE, no other JUCE effects have this issue.

Nah, a basic HISE plugin has about 8MB, probably all those filmstrips are sucking up your hard drive space...

                        • Yeah, although images are optimized (for 4K monitors), and file sizes have been reduced; the image folder has 45MB image size on Hise project folder. (Normally limit is 50MB for Hise image folder)

                        • @Win-Conway Presets are being listed successfully, but on first initialization it just doesn't show the name. However, you can click the category name and see the selected preset. See this topic: https://forum.hise.audio/topic/1159/always-on-the-presetbrowser/20

No i mean the presets are not being passed to the host, so they are not visible in the host preset lister, internally the list works fine.

Ah, yes, this is because the host's preset system uses the VST Program feature which is terribly inconsistent, so I frankly didn't bother adding support for it.
I tried to make it work, but it was literally impossible to get it correctly on more than two hosts - loading projects doesn't restore the display, loading presets from this menu doesn't propagate the change to the plugin and all kinds of issues like that.

Be aware that this 45MB compressed PNG will be extracted to completely uncompressed bitmap data and will eat up a lot of memory (my guess is something over 200MB). There is no way around this except for not using so many and big filmstrips.

@Christoph-Hart Yeah I compressed the large png files. I didn't reduced the canvas size of the images because it causes blurring effect while scaling to %200.

If compressing images is not useful on compiled plugin, So optimizing big image strips maybe would be less frames. Not 128 frames, only 70 frames for example....

@orange frames have to be odd numbered, so 71 or 129, or is it counting from frame 0 or something ?

Yes it counts from zero like most things in computer world - the value of scripted comboboxes excluded ;)

@Win-Conway Yes it counts from zero.

So for example; if you make 70 image strip frames, this frames will be numbered from 0 to 69, but you will specify the frame numbers (numStrips) 70 in HISE.

10 different beta testers didn't have this issue but however; sometimes the mac users need to clear the Logic / Garage Band cache in order to detect Hise made fx plugins (instruments doesn't do that, only fx plugins). I don't know why it does that but after clearing the cache, it works. Also you can use only stereo version, because that mono version has some bugs and I fixed it but not uploaded it yet.
