@Reylon ok, I understand , but if there is low bass content , there is lower amplitude so isnt it the same thing or am I being daft ? :)

@Reylon Ok so this has some bugs in it -(and dont use the Limiter FX - its broken - use the limter inside the dynamic FX module)

but it seems you are trying to gather the current gain level at defined freq bands

-- so to even do this I would suggest you use the Linkwitz riley filters in script node (there are posts here about how to set them up for multiband processing...)

            -- and you question is
"within these freq. bands is it possible to get the (average?) freq?"

            • answer yes - with some FFT work... but theres no native ParametricEQ1.getCurrentFrequency(0) command...

@Christoph-Hart Hi Christoph, could this be added in the future ParametricEQ1.getCurrentFrequency(0)?

@Reylon No that's not how EQs work.

You could use scriptnode with a frequency splitter layout where you could extract the peaks of each band, but that's not as flexible as the draggable EQ.

@Reylon The Parametric EQ has an inbuilt Spectrum Analyser. Why don't you use this to display the Frequency of the processed sound, since it already works in frequency domain?

@Reylon In the lower right corner of the Parametric EQ is a button called "Spectrum Analyser".
You can display that all with a floating tile in the main interface (in the "Draggabel Filter" mode (Properties of the Floating Tile). You just have to type in the Processor ID, and there you go...

@Reylon I'm sure you can but you'll need to put a bit work in 😆

There's nothing in Hise that you can use off the shelf like this. My personal opinion of plugins like tonal balance is that if you need a visual aid like this when mixing records then either your equipment isn't up to scratch or you're in the wrong profession!

@DanH Thanks. No I’m there with you 100% but it’s a small part of a new algorithm im trying to create. So this would be basically just for me to get things right in the backend.

@Reylon you can build a similar sort of thing with a panel and paint routines...
