      Hey HISE Gang!

Im so new to the Mac world it isn't even funny. I just got my first Mac (used + upgraded) and didn't realize they had put the new Monetary OS on it until I tried installing Xcode 12 (not compatible).

So as of now Im stuck trying to compile the New_Layout on Monetary with Xcode13. I have installed command line tools for Xcode 13, switched the IPP folders as stated in another thread & ensured deployment target in both Projucer & Xcode was set to 10.14 as suggested. No luck yet.

Projucer continues to tell me my JUCE folder is incorrect even if selected manually. I have tried using the newest version of JUCE as well.

My latest compilation attempt seems to get the furthest & here is the most recent error Xcode gives me. Anybody have any ideas? Its appreciated!

      ERROR TITLE: Expected Class Name

EDIT: Sorry, I thought t copied the error messages as well. Here is screenshot instead.

I'm not seeing an error message, that looks like the contents of one of the source files.

Did you clean the build folder before compiling? Did you set the architecture in Projucer to x64 and uncheck the others? I assume this is an Intel Mac?

You've tempered with the source files (probably a search and replace gone wrong). Make sure to revert these things.

@d-healey I did set each exporter type (release, debug, Jenkins) to x64 only (was on 32/64). Also have the Deployment Time set to 10.14 on each. On the main MacOS exporter settings under "Valid Architectures" I have arm64 & arm64e selected.

Yes, is an Intel Mac. Build Folder was cleaned before compiling. I also used the "Build For: Profiling" setting.

@Christoph-Hart yes, was indeed a search and replace. I didn't even think about this. I will recompile to get original errors.

But you're not using an ARM system, you're on an Intel system.

@d-healey With changed Architecture setting, the compile didn't fail, although, it didn't succeed either. It froze on "Buiding | 99/104" and wouldn't budge. It then said Build Cancelled. I am attempting again to see if it was a fluke.

@d-healey Silly me, that did it!

I can't compile the Hise-master in the same manner bu the New Layout compiled.

My older projects are on my windows which is still using the Hise-Master branch (so the old layout). Should I expect any issues when trying to open on New Layout?

@Christoph-Hart Successfully compiled and opened projects from previous version of HISE. Only issue I came across was for some reason my "Reverb Wet" knob didnt save its preset values. Seems like an easy enough fix.

On the other side of things, Im updating my Windows to the New_Layout and hit a speed bump. I have removed the previous version of HISE (HISE-Master) and all its contents/folders. I then try to open the Standalone.jucer file from New_Layout but says I have no program to open this file. Do I need to somehow recompile the GPL version of JUCE?

@d-healey Thanks for the advice/tip. Onward Sir!

@trillbilly Projucer should be included in the tools folder inside the HISE source code folder.

@d-healey Yes, the file is there, but will not open as it says I do no have a program to open the app.

I have downloaded JUCE from the website (free license) which it opens with, but requires me to turn on the splash screen/disable GPL mode in order to send to VS.

In the tools folder there is an app called Projucer.exe?

@d-healey Compiled and opened. Still have issues on Windows with the IPP but I dont need it right now anyway. Once IPP was disabled in ProJucer it compiled.

                                        Thanks again
