Anyone using a curved monitor? How do you find it compared to a flat?

yeah... I never notice that the curve is nice until I go back to a regular screen. I use a Optix AG32C Display which is great. I would like to go even wider but it wouldn't work with my studio audio monitors. I use to have a ridiculous three monitor set up but I found I was positioning my neck all weird and have been happier with the single monitor even though it's a pita when scoring sometimes.

@d-healey I just tested some yesterday in a shop. I agree this is very comfortable. But in my case I would still need a dual display over anything else (and I won't be against two curved ones!)
I always had dual display as far as I remember, I never waited for curved monitors to appear to place my two monitors in a V shape for years. When I place them flat, bwark... I can't work this way... So I make a V in order to have the same distance to my eyes from the center and the edges. A poor's man curvy dual display, but still very effective one!

@ustk @d-healey I had a curved for years (it's now just for PC use) - switched to 4k and could only get a flat. Took me a week or two to get used to it and now I don't miss the curve at all. Curves are nice, but not essential.

I work with 2 27 inch curved screens. I am going to change them and order the Samsung G90. there is real comfort for the eyes. however if you also do some graphics it's not great. it is always advisable to have an additional right screen if possible

Thank you all. I decided to go with a flat monitor, the idea of my straight lines being distorted freaks me out :)

@d-healey Can't you go to a shop with a laptop and a cable to test it in real?

Anyone using a 16:9 4k monitor? Do you find the text is too small to read?

@DanH I currently have a 1440p which I'm quite happy with. I like the extra space and the text is readable - although some webpages I zoom a little.

@d-healey Curved monitors are great. Curved monitors are becoming a more popular option, in resolutions and ultra-wide format.

@d-healey I think this is a case where we need to acknowledge that the bot has at least tried to stay on topic. The contribution to the topic is super generic, but that's a good thing because if the bot would come up with an opinion that was "smart and interesting", we would have to start preparing for The Uprising.

yeah but sadly the bot has failed to include its nasty URL link so its really failing at bot 101....
