VST/plugin GUI design + launch graphics — ads, motion, web
-
Hey everyone, Arnar here.
I’ve been inactive on the HISE forum for quite a while, mostly because I went off and built out my 3D/product animation work. Over the last couple of years I’ve been doing product visuals, watch animations, and marketing assets — but I’ve been missing GUI work, so I wanted to officially offer my services here.Since I was last active, I also shipped my own plugin using HISE : an editor/controller for the Yamaha CS series, along with a MIDI hardware kit I built for it. So I know both sides of the process — designing the assets, but also being the developer who needs everything delivered cleanly and ready to implement.
I’m offering complete GUI design for HISE and JUCE projects, including:
- Full plugin interface design
- Knobs, sliders, switches, buttons, meters, panels
- Filmstrips and switch states
- SVG/vector assets and layered exports
- HISE/JUCE-ready delivery
- Marketing visuals, ads, web graphics, and product animations
To show the kind of package I mean, I put together a full launch-style concept for a fictional plugin:

I’ll also keep using this thread to post more fictional/fantasy plugin concepts every now and then — partly as portfolio pieces, and partly to show different directions for GUI and launch-package design. Also its quite possible to pick a design and adjust it to an actual plugin if you see something you like. OR even make suggestions for styles you would like to see.
I will show all the different methods as well, pure photoshop UI, Vector UI and 3D.
I’m open to GUI work, full visual packages, animations, or helping developers make their plugin look more polished and marketable.
Feel free to message me if you’re working on something.

@lalalandsynth Very nice! Are you using Blender? Do you deliver source files for 3D work?
-
The AI textures aren't my favorite.
But the majority of the image looks great.
I like the knobs a lot, and the VU meter is quite elegant! -

@griffinboy The ad backgrounds are made with AI and photoshop if that is what you are referring to as the textures ? For a real job it would be only Photoshop.
-
@dannytaurus I can do that if requested. Yes, I use Blender :)

Ah that makes sense,
yes indeed that was the only thing. In that case, great work all round.
I'll keep you in mind for some upcoming projects. -
Here’s another plugin UI mockup, this time with a more whimsical comic-book feel.
Built entirely in Photoshop as a raster design, with the knobs rendered in Blender.
I’ve been developing a whole series of these character-driven plugin concepts, so if anyone is interested in this kind of style for a project, feel free to reach out.

Love the knobs!
-
@lalalandsynth Yeah, really like that!

Here's another UI concept, this time exploring a modern additive synthesizer.
This one is built entirely in Figma, so it's a fully vector-based interface.
Knobs are made with https://rox-knob-builder-for-hise.netlify.app/ courtesy of @ChazroxThe design is completely modular, making it easy to adapt layouts, swap modules, or reuse components for different plugins while keeping a consistent visual language.
As always, if anyone is looking for GUI design for a HISE or JUCE project, or just wants to discuss ideas for a particular style, feel free to get in touch.

@lalalandsynth Love it! Thanks for the shout out!

Have you seen the Button Designer?

@Chazrox Yes, been using it, will show up in the next design :)
