WIN FL Studio: Notes cut when playing with PC-Keyboard
-
Hey there i am running into an issue where users report that my multisampler cuts any holding notes when playing notes on top of holding note with a PC-Keyboard. (not MIDI Keyboard)
No MIDI scripts running & we use Flex AHDSR Envelope.

Scenarios tested and works:
MIDI Keyboard
Piano Roll
MAC
WIN AbletonHow to test:
playing key S as base note
arp with G and H (cuts it immediately)Let me know if anybody has this issue on WIN-FLStudio or has ideas how to approach this.

@Straticah I have simmilar but it's bug can summon in Hise project (do not need to compile project), set velocity on 100, and press a 43 key. But i hear a click on sound, no more. Sustained notes is not cutted, maybe i forget test it with sustain or sostenuto pedal.
@Christoph-Hart Here need your help, and I also want to say that the default AHDSR can sometimes break under unclear circumstances, and start resetting the sustain in all notes, as well as when delete the plugin with this bug - it can completely crash the Daw, so it should not be removed from the project when this happens, to be honest, I liked it more standard AHDSR, where you can modulate all the parameters, not like in Flex AHDSR... -
@It_Used It could be flex envelope. But release is 3 october so changing my ADSR setup is not possible.
-
@Christoph-Hart just tested with default AHDSR envelope and it is not playable with KB aswell.
Bad thing is that its only on WIN and FL Studio - and has the biggest userbase.
-
did you try Synth.setShouldKillRetriggeredNote(1);

Am I understanding this correctly and we are talking about playing notes on the actual computer keyboard? If yes, why is this an issue, is anybody using that except for testing if a note is playing?
Have you checked whether this happens with other plugins too? Some computers do not allow more than two keys pressed at the same time, maybe it's a system wide issue?

Yes the common FL-Studio user is producing on a laptop. +30.000-70.000 users each DAY
So we have a couple million potential users that produce like that :)

The issue only exists in this combination WIN and FL Studio - it does not occur on other plugins. We have tested on 3 different WIN - FL studio builds so far.
I can provide some more varied testing (variable generators/adsrs/projects) after tomorrows launch.

WIN and FL Studio
THE exact user that produces on computer keys.

@Straticah I’ve noticed that communicating MIDI information in FL Studio is particularly frustrating (actually I find most things about that DAW frustrating but that’s beside the point). Does this solve the issue in your particular case?
