HISE Meet Up
-
So it looks like Wednesday is the most popular choice
-
@d-healey yup wednesday 18:00 looks like the popular vote.
I'm there and happy to explain some of the new features, especially the sampler group stuff and the profiler, in fact I need a bit input from you regarding the UX before I can wrap this up and write proper docs otherwise they will be deprecated after the first round of feedback.

sampler group stuff and the profiler,
Looking forward to it.
I'll post a zoom link in this thread and on Patreon before the meeting.
By the way the clocks moved forward 1 hour today in the UK (BST), don't know if that affects you also, but for me doodle was showing the time in GMT.
-
@d-healey I won't be able to make it at this hour, it'll be right in the middle of the kids-frienzy time...
Will you post a replay link too?
I'm very interested in knowing more about the profiler. I began profiling things in my almost-finished project and I could use some explanations. -
I have a pedantic pro-FOSS request, could we host it on something more open than zoom? I have a nextcloud instance at simondalzell.com as an option, the most simultaneous callers I've had there is 5 but it probably works fine with more.
-
-
nextcloud doesn't have an easy call recording either.
-
@Simon Found this that works by simultaneously doing a screen recording: https://beta.brie.fi/ng/worried-stage-1#4Caw6cZbMHUNvEEDc0PM9e
Could also just use jitsi or NC and do a GPU screen record at the same time
-
@Simon I just found out I can stream the jitsi meeting to YouTube which will also record it. I haven't tested it yet but seems like a good option.
Edit: The recording option was there all along, just not in Firefox... I had to switch to Chrome. So we can use Jitsi

@d-healey said in HISE Meet Up:
@Matt_SF yes I'll post the recording on YouTube
Awesome, thank you David.
-
@Simon I just saw that a recorder is part of the High Performance Backend. Time for more server tinkering.

This post is deleted! -
@Dan-Korneff Even with the high performance backend you still need to configure a recording backend
Let's go for Jitsi
