Congrats man...sounds amazing. I think AcousticSamples did something like this just recently as well. The product is called Vtines. I'm a bit confused as to how all of this works though. So it's not a sample based product, rather all Math I'm guessing. So you convert a Rhodes from a series of sine waves, similar to a wavetable, but mathmatics is making the sound, instead of a sample....

Pretty ingenious idea....We've been working on something similar with wavetables.

    • RE: Filter modulation/filter envelope/AHDSR

Yes we have been at this Filter thing for a while and have not gotten the correct Filter behavior as would expect. Hopefully we will get this taken care of soon. I may shoot a video on the exact sound and functions of the filter.

    • RE: Multimic or Siblings how to

You may want to consider this tool as well: http://www.e--j.com/index.php/soundfilesmerger/. I have used it as of recently to merge different mic positions, so I only have to edit once. It merges all of the files into channels.

    • SampleMap Encryption of .ch1 files

Does Hise have a way to encrypt the .ch1 files. I know we talked about this a long time ago and @Christoph-Hart I think mentioned that it would reduce the speed of the streaming.

I just wanted to follow-up to see if this may have been added in the past year.

    • RE: .hr1 and .hr3 Files Opening

So far so good. I think updating this in Amazon S3 Meta info to ```
      application/x-www-form-urlencoded

I must say that the actual extraction portion is rock solid. Thanks @Christoph-Hart. As I said RAR is getting increasingly difficult, especially cross platform. Keka is finicky and UnRarX is discontinued, so this is a life saver. The main issues I get are:

      * Users not downloading all files completely
      * Users not having all of the files in one location

@MIDIculous I use Amazon S3 too. The Content-Type for my HR files is set to application/x-www-form-urlencoded

I'm going to try Content-Type attachment

@d-healey said in Questions about HISE Sample Archive tool:

@midiculous The option in the export menu doesn't create HLAC monoliths, that needs to be done from the sample mapping window. The export option combines all the monoliths into HR files for delivery to the end user.

Yep that is what I'm referring to. I want to create the HR files and I see it in the export. I'm already able to create the .ch1.

      @midiculous

1: I think it depends on the samples. I just compressed some harp samples with the full dynamics option (24 bit). The original samples are 1.5GB, the HLAC is 786MB.

2: No. Well not without editing the HISE source code.

3: What do you mean by add it to the HISE app? You create the HLAC monoliths from within HISE currently.

Yep...I see it in the export. I'm going to give it a try!

      Thanks!

    • RE: Feature Request - Monolith/File System

@d-healey Obviously they won't download that file. You break it with a .rar or 7zip when downloading. The multi-part rar decompresses into one big .ch1 file.

    • RE: Does his import wav cue loop points?

@elanhickler It's a bit quirky. You would expect to drag it in and the Meta Data button is already selected and it should work right? No, you have to click off then on to get it to work.

It would be nice to open up the ability to add our own wavetables.

    • RE: Synthetic Legato

This is great for acoustic and woodwind sounds. I wonder how this would sound with traditional Synth lead and synth bass sounds. Could this be tweaked to accommodate the traditional Moog type synth legato and portamento functions?

Also does it work with polyphonic material?

That's one of the things missing from Hise is a good Poly/Mono portamento glide function. That was very smart to include a formant shaper to it, so it sounds realistic.
