If you want to use an LFO as a modulator, you have to use a "Global Time Variant Modulator" and not a "Global Envelope Modulator" as in your snipped. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work in the send container either. Strange!

@Oli-Ullmann Ah yes, that was an oversight in prepping the snip. But I actually intend to use both LFO and Envelope modulators. For some reason neither of them work in a send container. My project has more than one synth group and I really don't want to add Phaser effects on each of them and then global modulators for all of them. I'm afraid it would be a drag on the cpu.

Thanks for looking at it anyway.

            Hey RastaChess

I had to think about this topic again because I have the same problem with a current project.

My solution is to modulate the two frequencies directly via the script using an LFO (and a timer).

I have created a small snipped so that you know what I mean.

If there are spelling mistakes, don't be angry with me. I've already had a glass or two of good red wine. :-)

            All the best
            Oli

@Oli-Ullmann This is a good workaround for the problem. Thank you for sharing it. I had taken the same approach to temporarily solve the problem. However, I have since noticed that other FXs like the Degrade are also not doing anything when I attempt to connect them to an LFO or any other modulator.

              @Christoph-Hart is this a bug?

@RastaChess The issue seems to be affecting all effects with a modulation tab. So far I've checked the phaser, degrader, filter, harmonic filters, and simple gain.

Yes that was in fact the case, I just never used it with any effects that needed modulation. Should be fixed now.

@Christoph-Hart the effects are now modulating properly. However, some of the FX have disappeared entirely from the send container, like the degrade, the limiter and the polyshape.

Are they gone for good? I upgraded from 3.5 so I don't know if they where removed before.

@RastaChess said in Phaser Effect Modulation possible inside a send container?:

                        degrade, the limiter

Yeah, they are gone for good. They sounded awful, the parameters didn't work and there are better alternatives in scriptnode.

                        polyshape.

This is still available, but the send container doesn't have any polyphonic effects (it's not polyphonic) so
