Recreate Serum Hyper Effect
-
Hey!
I found this amazing effect in serum called the “Hyper” effect and I was wondering if anyone here has any idea how to try and replicate it in HISE’s scriptnode? Here’s something I found from the manual:
Hyper
The Hyper effect is a micro-delay chorus effect with a variable number of voices (1-7). In addition the Hyper effect can be configured to re- trigger on every MIDI note, which adds to the potential simulation of a unison.
Rate: The speed at which the various Hyper voices are oscillating sharp/flat in pitch.
Detune: Sets the amount / depth for the Hyper voice oscillations sharp/flat in pitch.
Retrig: When enabled, the Retrig switch will reset all of the Hyper voices to start over from a zeroed pitch offset. This provides a “laser” like zap effect on each note on. Typical use probably doesn't involve enabling this switch, but you may decide otherwise, in particular on monophonic patches it may be of use.
Unison: This number box sets the number of chorus voices make up the Hyper effect.
Mix: The Hyper effect has its own Mix control, independent to the Dimension controls listed below. If you only wish to use the Dimension effect and not the Hyper, it is recommended to set the “Unison” control to 0.Anyone tried making something like or similar to this?
Thanks!

@Casmat I am by no means an expert with HISE but one approach I see would be using child containers within the master container. The child containers are processed in parallel so you can set the delay to different values for each duplicated signal and script the delay to change at different rates over time.

I‘ve made a unisono effect with the clone container and the faust pitch shifter and the only thing that is missing would be the retrigger which isn‘t too hard.

Where it is ?

@DabDab it‘s not part of HISE, I did that for a project.

@Christoph-Hart Okay.
