How to create channels in Routing Matrix
-
I'm sure this is a very basic oversight on my side but how do I add more channels in the routing matrix?
When I add a new one to a project it only has 2 channels.
I've tried double clicking, right clicking and pressing around the window with no luck and did a search on the forum and checked out the documentation as well.
Could anyone explain what I'm missing?

Hello,
You need to set the number of channels at the container level.
-
@optimistic You can only resize matrixes of sound generators / containers with a dynamic channel amount:
- Containers
- Samplers
- Send Containers
Click on the routing matrix of the sound generator, then use the right-click context menu to resize the channel amount.
The matrixes of the FX modules can only be used to enable / disable existing channels.

Thanks again guys! Makes total sense and works now!

More basic questions ...
How do I get 1-2 to go in a parallel to 3-4 and 5-6
Currently 1-2 is going to 3-4 but will only go either to 1-2 or 5-6. Switching those cables cancels the routing so I can't send 1-2 to all three stereo outputs.
I'm also adjusting a project someone else setup for me so might be missing something more advanced that is setup here.

@optimistic You can only have two send channels (that's what the blue connections are called). If you want to route it to 5/6 too you'll need another routing matrix in the FX chain that routes 3/4 to 5/6:

@Christoph-Hart ok, that’s helps my understanding of how this is supposed to work.
My last question now (I think) is how do I create and set the send destinations and sources? I can set the white cables but can’t see how to set the blue ones.

Answering my own question here as I uncover the mysteries of HISE.
On macOS holding shift while setting the routing will set the send cables.
