      Hey HISE Gang,

      Now that Ive got HISE working correctly on my Windows, Ive decided to get it running on my Mac, except, Im Mac illiterate.

      Ive managed to get HISE compiled and working. Exporting VSTi is a different story.

      Below is the error I receive...

      ❌ Undefined symbols for architecture arm64
      > Symbol: _ippsFree
      > Referenced from: hise::PostGraphicsRenderer::Data::~Data() in lto.o

      ❌ ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture arm64

      ❌ clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)

      I checked my Architecture settings for MacOS in Projucer and x64 is selected, not arm, as Im on an Intel Mac (thanks @d-healey for that lesson.

      I also receive this message at the top of the Terminal when trying to export.

      Building targets in manual order is deprecated - check "Parallelize build for command-line builds" in the project editor, or set DISABLE_MANUAL_TARGET_ORDER_BUILD_WARNING in any of the targets in the current build to suppress this warning

      I have tried to change the Parallelize settings in Xcode (using release mode) and re-compiling HISE to see if it solved either issue and it did not.

      Any suggestions?

        You need to set this in your project's .jucer file as well as the HISE .jucer file.

          @d-healey This is ProjectFolder/Binaries/AutoGenerated.jucer correct? This is necessary for every export on Mac or will it save settings for each project going forward?

          I downloaded the newest version of JUCE a little while back (like a fool) and now the new version (not GPL version) and HISE version conflict each other. Im removing and re-installing/compiling everything again just to ensure all is well.

            Every export until someone updates the compile template in HISE and makes a pull request.

            Everything you need comes with HISE.

              @d-healey Ok got it.

              And yes, I realize this now. I was having issues with MAC first compiling HISE and had seen somewhere to try the newest JUCE version. Mistake...

              Also, the AutoGenerated.jucer file in the Project Binaries, this is the correct file to edit?

                  @d-healey Will I save & run in IDE from the AutoGenerated File or run from HISE again?

                      @d-healey Got it, thanks. Was able to export VSTi. I assume it doesn't show in my DAW because I am not yet an apple developer?

                            @trillbilly Did you copy the plugin to the location where Live looks for VSTis?

                              @trillbilly Yes, I created a custom VST2 & VST3 folder for plugin trials. Live is directed to these files.

                              I copied my .vst3 from Binaries/Build and pasted in my custom VST3 folder.

                                @trillbilly VST3 should be in a specific location - https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/115000171310

                                  @d-healey I have the VST folder in my directory but no VST3 folder. I created it myself, placed the VST in it and directed Live to this location. Still no luck.

                                    @d-healey I see that in HISE preferences there is a "Support 32bit Mac OS" box selected. I believe Ableton (10 & 11) are only 64bit. Would this cause any issues?

                                      @trillbilly I wouldn't have thought so, but try disabling it and see if it works.

                                        Do you have Cubase installed?
                                        I ran into a similar issue with a new W11 build. Installed HISE and Reaper, created a VST3 folder for plugs, and Reaper couldn't read them. After I installed Cubase, everything just started working 🤷♂
                                        I didn't really investigate, but you might be experiencing something similar?

                                          @d-healey It didn't seem to matter.

                                          I was able to export VST2 and locate with Live no problem. VST3 still a no-go.

                                          @dustbro No, Ive never used Cubase. Did you install a Demo version or do I need to purchase?

                                            I believe they have demos. You could also send me a test VST3 file to check on my rig as well.
