      No, I am using the pre-built release version of HISE. I have not compiled HISE from source code myself. I am just trying to export my project as a VST and getting these errors.

        @MZLY Why did you make a new thread?

        You need to compile HISE before you can export from it.

                      @MZLY you used git clone to download the source code?

                          @MZLY The export setup wizard is broken. Open project preferences and check the Export Setup box. Then it shouldn't prompt you any more.

                          @Christoph-Hart Is this being removed?

                            @David-Healey Is it being removed or is it getting a makeover, like the installer?

                            Either is better than the current state. It's basically a support request generator! 😜

                              @dannytaurus I hope it's getting removed, I think it makes the system more complicated - increasing required maintenance and leading to more bugs.

                              If you've successfully compiled HISE then you should already be setup for exporting, there is no need for this extra step.

                              A simple solution to the problem would be removing the export option from the precompiled version of HISE, or adding a message telling people to compile from source if they want to export.

                                Yes, that would be good. The precompiled version of HISE itself is also a support ticket generator.

                                  Hi David, sorry for the late response, I just got my internet back up today. Just wanted to let you know the export is working perfectly now, even with that warning popping up. Thanks for the help!
