Duplicate Script FX Network
-
@DanH as @iamlamprey, this is the way
-
@ustk @iamlamprey yep, did all that. Weird. Will try again
-
@ustk @iamlamprey ok working now, not sure what happened before

-
@DanH
Normally, it should work quite simply as follows if you do not have any precompiled DLLs in your ScriptFX:1. Copy ScriptFX

2. Create a new effect in a new project and select the previously copied ScriptFX at the bottom.

-
@DanH
Or did you want to duplicate the effect in the same project? Then I think I misunderstood you... -
@Oli-Ullmann duplicate the network, so I can change it without losing the multitude if connections etc. I think just copying containers etc removes all the connections
Either problem solved now

Hey! You're on the right track with copying the XML data, but there's one small, crucial step you're missing!
When you duplicate the network and paste the XML into the new file, you have to open the new .xml file in a text editor and change the unique ID/name right at the top of the file.
The HISE compiler uses that unique identifier to distinguish the network. If two files have the exact same ID, HISE gets confused and only loads the first one it finds.Just change the name/ID string in the duplicated file, save it, and it should pop right up! Hope that helps!
