      Oh that sounds great β€” I am not using Logic anymore but I think the license is the same (as the one I have)... will check it out. But I assume it does not help with looping points though.

        @inlandempire Yeah, if you bought Logic at any time in the past you'll be able to download the latest version from your Apple account in the App Store on Mac. Free lifetime updates! πŸ™Œ

        Not sure about the loop points, but I'd be surprised if HISE doesn't already support Logic loop points. And if it doesn't, it needs to because I'll be doing some sample-based plugins soon! 😜

          OK I managed to do the test samples with Logic Auto sampler, and then exporting the exs file to SFZ with this handy little tool https://www.bjoernbojahr.de/exs2sfz.html

          I have now placed the samples in the project samples folder and try to import the SFZ... but HISE seems to just preload forever.... am I doing this wrong?

            @inlandempire Are you using this?

              No I don't. I simply used the sfz import function in the left side of the sample editor.
              I am only using HISE on a very basic level but want toi prepare the sample maps to my developer. I will talk to him. He surely knows.

              Thanks

                Please take a look on the scripting suggested above. Thanks

                  Just a follow up on this thread if other will look for the answer.

                  I have now "accomplished" the path from Logic Auto Sampler to HISE ...and it's pretty easy (could be even more I assume)

                  • Sample in Logic Auto Sampler
                  • Save as EXS
                  • Convert EXS to SFZ with the EXS2SFZ program (Mac and Windows)
                  • Convert SFZ to HISE here https://keypleezer.com/sfz-to-hise-converter/ - this step should not be required but I could not get HISE SFZ import function to work.
                  • Copy/Paste the converted data to a text-file and sving it as an .xml samplemap
                  • Edit in text editor. For some reason the EXS to SFZ conversion leave out 30% of the "Sample End" data, so in the final file I had to set a static sample end number for those samples.
                  • Re-enable sample looping in HISE sample.

                  All good....

                    @inlandempire Wow, that's a lot of work! 😜

                    We need to be able to simply add an EXS file and it imports everything. If that's not currently possible then I'll certainly start working on it when the need arises for me.

                      Everything more seamless than almost seamless is lovable :-)
                      the process though add around 3 min. per samples map. But I agree that it would be great β€”Β after all Logic is still a major "source".

                        @inlandempire I've been spoiled by this simple workflow from Maize Sampler, where I built my first sample-based plugins.

                        Import an EXS file and it imports all the samples with key ranges, loop points, etc. Lovely!

                        I'll be on to some sample-based stuff soon. Looking forward to tackling this!
