Engine.loadUserPreset
-
any ideas?
-
Please fix the
loadUserPreset
function. The proposed workarounds in other threads are usable, but not great. -
@d-healey said in Engine.loadUserPreset:
Please fix the loadUserPreset function.
@Christoph-Hart What David said. Is it possible to fix it?
-
Well, I was trying for hours to simply load presets but ended with hairPulling session, till I got on this thread...
@Christoph-Hart Is it on a fix list already? -
OK, just checked, but the function appears to work like it should. The only problem is that it will not update the "current" user preset file, so Engine.getCurrentUserPreset() doesn't return the new file and the preset browser won't be updated. Is this the only problem?
-
@Christoph-Hart Yep that should be it ;)
-
Ooops, slightly embarassing that it took so long for a one-line fix :)
https://github.com/christophhart/HISE/commit/7cf35af7206b4150dcb7faf7d88acb2d593e87af
To my defense I thought the problem was much harder and might break backwards compatibility etc...
-
@Christoph-Hart Arff... You're all excused my man, most of the time it takes you a few hours to make great improvement ;)
Speaking of which, what will be the next important functionality update? Should we wait for the surprise of Hise3 or you already have some mouth-watering leaks for us? :) -
Nope, there's nothing genius in the pipeline (apart from leaking the expansion stuff from PercX into HISE). Also the next two months will be rather inactive as I am working on a music production until the end of January.
HISE 3.0 will not include any new features, it will basically just be a tidied version with scriptnode, MIDI player, expansions and all the additions made since HISE 2.0 that can be used for production.

@Christoph-Hart please please please say this includes "midi out".....
