Trapezoid XY Pad

Hi there! Maybe someone has some ideas on how to make a trapezoid XY Pad?
I don't understand where to start. Drawing a trapezoid on the panel is not a problem, but how to make the indicator move exactly inside the drawn path?

That's all you'll find. But any shape is basically the same principle, you'll just need some fancy maths to make sure you remain in your shape's boundary.

@Evan-Splash its pretty simple trigonometry - you just need to make sure the angle of your selected point(x) is within the angle of the bottom left and bottom right angles of your containing triangle:
