One of my frustrations with midi keyboards is that they generally only detect the velocity at which a note is initially pressed.
I wish more keyboards had continuous velocity control.Do you mean aftertouch?
Many MIDI controllers/keyboards have this feature.
It's mostly channel (monophonic) aftertouch but some have polyphonic aftertouch.

Not enough key depth! I want trautonium style playing

@dannytaurus I think @griffinboy needs this to fully express his creativity

@griffinboy espressive e Osmose has entered the chat.
Got it in July, best musical device purchase I made in the last years.

espressive e Osmose
I have a Seaboard Rise, but rarely use it because of the difficulty I have playing that surface.
The E Osmose would surely fit better my needs -
@ustk yup thatβs exactly why I skipped on the Seaboard, the Osmose letβs you transfer the years of practice from a traditional keyboard to its playing style.

Yeah, I made the unfortunate choice to fund the much cheaper, adoyo Loom project on kickstarter. They went bankrupt very recently after ghosting backers.
No mpe device for me yet : ( -

I said the exact same thing to a friend after trying a tiny portable Roli and the Osmose. Impacts and squishing are far too imprecise. Improv is my strongest skill. With one controller, you are throwing that skill, precision, and speed away. I'm sure it has a use, but I write faster melodic music. Not for me.

The Wiggler is really cool. Very limited, sure, but the expressiveness is great for a DIY project.
