Plugin Keeps Asking For Sample Folder
-
Hey Gang,
I exported a plugin using the CustomSampleImport tutorial. The plugin asks for the sample folder, as usual. But, once you select the sample folder, it continues asking over and over with no end. You cant use the plugin at all as the plugin simply keeps asking for the samples.
Where did I go wrong in my settings/export?

@trillbilly it frightens me that this question has't been answered for over a year. I ran into the exact same problem today.

@Morphoice This issue typically occurs if you're using Global App Data and the folder Library/Application Support/Your Company/Plugin Name has not been created. If you manually create the folder, it can create the file linkOSX.
Or you can use User App Data instead of Global App Data.

@bendurso Thanks for confirming what I just suspected could be the problem. I was just about to try and see if this fixes it, remembering I had enabled use of the Global App Data folders in settings this morning...
-
@bendurso well creating the folder didn't change anything though, not even putting the samples there changed anything

@Morphoice Put the samples in a folder on your Desktop. Load up your plugin, and when prompted, select the folder on your desktop. Close and reopen your plugin. If it hasn't worked check that the LinkOSX file was created correctly in the appdata folder.

@d-healey there is nothing created in the Appdata folder, I even manually put the samples folder in there, no change.

@Morphoice Send me your project folder - without the Samples, Binaries, or PooledResources folders.
