WHY would I need that - I want to name my samplers after the voices!

That's actually just a workflow tool. It converts the samplemaps in your SampleMap directory to HLACs. Your actual project XML has nothing to do with this.

1. Create a new instrument
2. Add a sampler
3. Run the tool
4. Load your actual project and hope that it loads :)
5. Enjoy HLAC

So I have 4 samplers named: Voice1 Voice2 Voice3 Voice4

So I've added a 5th one called "Sampler"

I've run "the tool" - which I think you mean Tools->Convert all samples to Monolith+SampleMap

So now I can remove "Sampler" ?

But even this set of instructions doesnt work:

1. Create a new instrument - check new directory created all good - empty HISE
   2 Add a sampler - check a sampler called "Sampler1" is added to the Master Chain
2. Run the tool - fail with "you need a sampler with the name 'Sampler' in the Master Chain"

However if you do as Christoph suggests ( I renamed Sampler1 to Sampler)
it will load hip files

@Lindon You're using the wrong tool as I assume you have already made your sample maps.

This is what you want: Reencode all sample maps as HLAC monolith.

OK thanks found that, done that - how do I know it did anything? where should I look for these monoliths?

sigh now I get this:

@Lindon The monoliths just appear in the samples folder alongside your regular wav samples.

OK yeah great - found them they are there, so I now ship these with my plugin?

@Lindon Yes, just the monoliths not the wavs. But you'll probably want to compress them to HR1 archives using the Export samples for installer option.

Okayyy - well good , except now I cant find any such command as:

Export samples for installer

• not in my tools menu, export menu or the Sampler pop up
