So I think I'm on the right track here, but my MinMax node's Maximum slider doesn't do anything. I was building up to asking the question of how to get the 'Intensity' of the LFO right, as the Math.Mul node doesn't seem to do the right thing as it doesn't hold the right frequency for the filter, but before then I got to this issue... Hise started crashing when I began moving the Maximum range.

@DanH ok well re-starting Hise has fixed this
So, what is the best method to control the LFO intensity? Currently if the Math.Mul node is on 0 the filter frequency sits at the half way point, rather than at 20k where the Maximum value of the MinMax node is set.... @Matt_SF any idea?

@DanH Not really , the cutoff frequency is "independent" if higher then modulation the modulation does not do anything,if cutoff is lower then modulation then it affects the filter.
That would be typical synth behaviour, although some synths would deduct the lfo negative from the cutoff point.
How do you want it to behave ?

@lalalandsynth There's still no 'Intensity' control though am I right?
I want it to behave like the Hise LFOs (!). I would use a Global Modulator but until Christoph fixes it in FX plugins on windows I'll try and build my own. I think the Hise LFOs behave quite strangely so maybe it's difficult to replicate

@Matt_SF That is certainly one way to do it :)
Although like this it cycles above the cutoff point while on some synths it would have part of the cycle below the cutoff point ( depending on the cutoff position) -
@lalalandsynth Indeed. For a bipolar modulation, simply change the range of the PMA's 'value' parameter to -0.5 / 0.5

@Matt_SF I guess there are 4 ways to do this .
- mod above the cutoff point as in your first example.
- Mod above and below the cutoff point, second example.
- Mod above the cutoff point but only when mod intensity goes above the cutoff point. If below cutoff point then no modulation. as in my example
- some synths actually allow for opening the filter more with the modulation then the cutoff range, which is achievable by restricting the full range of the cutoff point/cutoff knob.

@Christoph-Hart well in the snippet I posted above 50% intensity on a global modulator is very different to 50% intensity in Scriptnode. Have a look - maybe I've done it wrong?
But in any case is fixing the initial bug a thing that could happen?
