WaveTable synth problem
-
Hi all.
Been away for long time, im back! :)Im having trouble with the WaveTable synth. I cant figure out if im doing something wrong or something is not working.
Ive read all the posts i can find regarding Wavetable synth issues but still cant not get anywhere!!I've recompiled HISE with the latest Github commit(as far as i can tell) from @Christoph-Hart from --https://forum.hise.audio/topic/1876/wavetable-synth/20
-
If i Tools>Convert samples to Wavetables from the demo project, once i select the WaveTable it is only mapped to 1 note(the lowest note -not even the Root note) WHY?
-
If i follow the instructions provided by @Christoph-Hart to select "FM_AB.xml", once i load it, there is no option to "select Resample instead of "FFT Resynthesis" and if i select the FM_AB wavetable and push "OK" to convert, i get no sound output... :(
Ive also tried WaveEdit. Saved the .wav, mapped it on the sampler, Tools>Convert samples to Wavetables. Have no sound.
Have i missed something important?
Thanks thanks thanks!

@ten7kur I've approximately done all the things you did, but finally gave up. It's just too broken in the current state, and I don't think it's on Christoph's priorities...

:(((( Its the most powerful synthesis! @Christoph-Hart
What is the precise problem? -
What is the precise problem?
There's only one Christoph ;)

What is the precise problem?amongst the many as I recall was there is no "standard" definition for wavetable content - all the "wavetable generator" software seems to do it slightly differently...
So if you can suggest a well defined approach to what a "wavetable" is - that everyone would have access to building against - then it might improve the chances

that is a BIG problem for sure...

The problem is that this module is not being used in an actual project that I am involved in, which is usually the reason why stuff gets done :)

Im not C coder by nature but
@Christoph-HartIf thats the reason, the way @Christoph-Hart implemented the wavetable synthesis, sound wise, is far superior to Serum, and all other synths.

?
appreciate an input or PM response -
i want/ need to get this working

@ten7kur OK so
first - go read all the threads about the wavetable synth.... possibly start here: https://forum.hise.audio/topic/1876/wavetable-synth/5

As I i said in my first post i read ALL. Thanks
Was hoping to get a response from @Christoph-Hart .I just dont understand a Release of something , if its not working...

But OK.
So i have an OUTPUT,
From 10 sample root notes , i get = xxxx_Left.hwt and xxxx_Right.hwt (this .hwt is from the Lowest note)
What can i do with it?How do i map the keyboard?

As i said in my first post, the ".hwt' is only mapped to one note.
Have missed something?
Thanks! -
It's broken.
