Hello Everyone, I am trying to port my current plugin to iOS. So far it works perfect on mac and windows but I am having a hard time porting to iOS.
The HISE tutorial is no longer up, the link is down. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm on mac so when I exported from HISE the terminal told me to continue in Xcode and export from there. Which I did but got some errors, 17 to be exact. Most of the errors in Xcode say "Reference to 'point' is ambiguous".
Am I following the wrong process? Anyone here with any experience?

@weezycarter I don't think this has been possible for years - at least not without a fight

@d-healey my plug-in is pretty simple it’s just a sampler with a waveform generator. You don’t think this is possible?

@d-healey I don’t plan on selling my plug-in I just want my friend to be able to use it and all he has is an iPad.

I'm sure it's possible, but I don't think anyone has done it succesfully for years. It will probably require some modifications to the HISE source code.

From what I gather, whatever was in at the time is left for anyone to pick up if they wish, but iOS support isn't being actively developed anymore.

@weezycarter yes iOS is pretty much abandoned. Also you cannot simply compile an app and give it to your friend on the iPad, it will not run for longer than a week or so unless you go through the App Store.

I find the above statement highly concerning @Christoph-Hart .

If I may, I want to make a prophetic statement here so we can refer to it months and years from now.

iOS and mobile music production is the new frontier. Platforms and developers who seize on this shift early on and adapt will reap the riches. Others will either be left in the dust or play catch-up.

I've had countless interactions with customers and potential customers that strongly indicate this. Most people here have not yet caught on to that, but they will eventually. I think it is a terrible idea not to actively maintain the iOS support, and I urge you to please dedicate some time to keeping it up to date. It would be far more valuable to successfully port to iOS all the amazing things HISE currently offers than to keep adding new things to the current platforms. Now is the perfect time to enter the new frontier.
