    • Programmer Wanted! (Advanced Sampler Development)

      Dear HISE community,

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic programmer to help us build a new sampling platform with HISE.

This is work for hire, paid per milestone, with an industry-appropriate budget. Remote work from anywhere is possible.

Depending on the speed and availability of the programmer, we estimate the project will take between 8-14 months, broken into the following milestones:

      1. Basic MVP sample-per-note player with velocity, GUI integration and copy protection
      2. True legato and legato type switching, keyswitching for multi-articulations, RRs
      3. Multi-mic capabilities, reverb, sample purge, adjustable preload buffer and basic communication across multiple instances of the plugin
      4. Time-stretching and time signature/tempo integration from DAW
      5. Waveform visualization, browser and drag-to-MIDI functions for "lick library"

The final milestone, which will be developed independently by a machine learning specialist in conjunction with our training data, is an "AI Performer" module which will make context-aware tweaks to the MIDI data like keyswitching and CC curves - all possible by an advanced user of the sampler, but time consuming to learn and execute - which will dramatically increase realism of output by first time users and speed up workflows of advanced ones.

All design (both audio and visual), sampling, mixing, sample maps and timing/crossfade editing, will be done by us. That said, we're very open to any creative ideas you have and are looking for a partner who's just as excited about building this as we are.

We are veterans of the sampling industry, having co-produced 3 very large, commercially successful libraries on Kontakt. We have an exciting vision for our own releases and will be making and releasing real projects starting with simple ones and developing into more and more complex and useful libraries as the sampler develops.

If this sounds like something you're interested in, please get in touch and tell us your rates!

    • RE: Sample mapping naming Values

ok thanks! i think i got something working now. seems like its better to just use the 1,2,3 and split it evenly. instead of trying to get exact numbers. thank you!

ah so you ad "_dynamic1" to the filename. and then? you use veloctiy range? custom?

sorry I do this for the first time, its a bit much

@David-Healey Thanks David, yes, I saw this. But why does it only show the F and not the P and M?

    • Sample mapping naming Values

hi there, after searching for this topic I couldnt find what im looking for. If this has been answered please just direct me to the thread.

But I would like to know how you set these values. We have decided to use P, M and F to specify the velocity range. but how do I set this in the items and value field? and also it only gives me the F as example. Is it even possible to set the specific range and its done in import? for example all P should be 0-42 all M 43-84 and all F 85-127
Or is it better to use other velocity specifier, for example: v1, v2 ,v3.....?

some help would be very appreciated

      thank you.
