      Ive looked through this forum but I think now I am even more confused about the routing.

      I have a simple instrument with 4 stereo channels but I can not for the life of me figure out how to route the send container so that it goes to all the channels. It only sends to channels 1 and 2. Im reading about using a routing matrix but I cant figure out where that goes in the chain. I just want a reverb to send to all channels.

        @jeffd I'm not entirely sure, but If you are using a simpleReverb, you'll need to have more than one, as it only outputs one stereo signal. You'll need multiple send effects as well, and then rout those sends to the appropriate channels of the container. And finally set the number of channels in the send container as well as the master output. Like in the snippet below. But you'd probably be better of using scriptnode to do all this.

            @CyberGen

            still, all 4 channels of my instrument output to 1 stereo pair for final ouput.

            Seems like i could just route each mic channel of my instrument to the reverb send...like you in a DAW or mixer?

              Why not mix the samples to stereo before putting them in the instrument? It will save some RAM, CPU, and disk space.

                I have a 4 channel mic mixer that mixes 4 different stereo pairs. I want to add a reverb send to those channels. all those channels mix to stereo for the final output, but HISE only sends reverb to the first pair. I really need to make 4 different reverbs?

                    If you want different reverb for each pair then yes. If you want the same reverb for all channels then you can probably achieve that using a routing matrix.

                    But why do you have the mic mixer if you're just outputting stereo in the end?

                      @d-healey I have the instrument setup so you can mix 4 different mic signals, then that gets routed out stereo. I have 4 simple gain slots under 1 sampler. But the send container only routes to the first simple gain effect basically, or that first channel. I want the same reverb for all channels.

                        I just did a little test. If you put the send effect at the container level, and the container is only stereo, it gives the desired result.

                          ok, so i have my sampler1 outputting 8 channels to 8 channels in on container1.

                          I changed that so its outputting the 8 channels from sampler1 to 2 stereo out into Container1.

                          but now my reverb is feedbacking like crazy

                              ok, im so dumb. I had the send container going back into channels 1 and 2 of container 1 and feedbacking on itself. So i added 2 other channels to container 1.

                              it works now!!
