An old thread, but it seemed hanging. Here's an example that shows a pan modulation activated by LFO, but no apparent change to the gain meters (or sound):

Use the Stereofx module instead. It works

Thanks, but unfortunately it is not possible to insert a Stereo FX in the Master Chain FX section, nor in any container. It's only available for sound generator, sampler...

Trying to Make a Tremolo With Simple gain > Pan > Lfo
Nothing Happens!
I mean There Is no left To right Panning at All!
Any ideas?

Bumping this back up as it's still not working. Did anyone ever find a workaround for this? ... or is it possible to fix it soon? @Christoph-Hart

Can we bump this again? I'm trying to do the exact same thing as everyone above, modulate pan with the Simple Gain module, but the behavior is strange. It will only sort of work if you set the pan to hard right or left and then modulate.
