Problem with monolith....
-
Hello,
I have a problem with monoliths. In fact, I think I never managed to make it work but as I was only in the development phase, it did not matter.
It's another story. I really need it to work. It is problem that I did not understand, but I will explain how I proceed. It will be easier for you to know if I made a mistake.
So, I export my monolith with the program hise, in export, export the samples for the installer.
Then, I open my VST, I follow the instructions, they install in the chosen folder and when it is finished, it asks me again (normal?) Which folders I want to install.
He tells me to reload the plugins, so I delete all the instances in Studio One and I reload the plugins, no new questions, it's suposed to work. But no, it does not work. And the way I'm sure it does not load in the samples is that the ram remains at zero, which is impossible with all the samples that are suposed to be there.
If I do something wrong, please help me. I admit I do not understand.
Thank you
Alex

Just to be clear you say that it ask again to "install" or just "load" the installed samples.
Because after installing the .hr1 you already have the twice choice : install and load.
After installing sample, just click the second choice: load (that keep the path of installation) and after that reloading the plugin.if installing twice but not choosing the location to load: yes you haven't samples/sounds in it

Hello,
Yes, I do both! I install and then I charge!

@alexaudio10 I went thru something similar. You have to
Tools -> Convert all samples to monolith + SampleMap
and then load that sample map back into your sampler. -
Hello,
I must believe that I really have a problem. I just saw the option you speak in tools and when I click ok to convert, it does not do anything at all.
When I save the files in a monolith directly in the sampler, the file is done after a few minutes, but then I have no sound. And no note is playing, I admit that I do not understand.
What do I have to do...

@alexaudio10 the sampler has to be highlighted first

Hello,
Thank you for your help. In fact, the problem came from my samplesmaps file, it's now settling, and the monolith works. Very happy.
Thanks again

Hi,
there's a bug that resets the samplemap to not use monolith files when you save a samplemap with monoliths, which might have caused the problem. I've fixed this, but I am kind in the middle of something so it's not pushed yet.
