Audio Loop Player Xfade

Re: Cross fade for Audio Loop Player?
Hey Gang, using the Audio Loop Player as a Sampler. Curious if Sample/Loop xfade was/is a thing?
-
Bump.
Has anybody done this or know a way to create a "work-around" that could Xfade loops in the Loop Player?
-
@trillbilly only way would be to use 2 audioLoopPlayer and do the Xfade yourself using gain FXs or gain mods
-
@Matt_SF So the same sample loaded in 2 audioLoopPlayer that play at the same time. How do you manage the xfade with the gain FX? I can see you would also have to track the end of the loop (which I think I can do).
-
@trillbilly what kind of loop do you want to Xfade?
If you edit the loop yourself and set the start & end points correctly you don't need Xfading.
(i. e. In one of my projects I'm using loop Players as 'oscillators'. They play custom waveforms and it's working very well) -
@Matt_SF Im using the Loop Players as a Sampler, so it could be really just about anything (I have synths, choirs/vocals, guitars, woodwinds, brass, etc).
Some of the loops sound decent just with the loop points being set and no xfade. Others are much harder to get right without the xfade.
Plus, if its manageable, I think it would be a great option for my users.
-
@trillbilly for this usage, using samplers would be easier obviously. Finding a workaround for the loop Players would be interesting though...

@Matt_SF yes, the samplers would be great, but I've been having issues getting them to save sample and loop start/end times correctly. The loopers were my workaround for this. Now I don't have loop xfade so I guess I must choose my battles lol
