@Fortune well the above works by using a json file (that ships with the product) that lists all maps in each category...then its pretty simple panel drawing....

To b ehonest I prefer this solution (not using categories but tags)

Do you embed this json file to the plugin, or is it being installed on the appData folder?

in the current version its embeded, and the app looks for it - and if it doesnt find it then it saves it in appData, but once this all-new installer is built then the installer will put the file in appData.

Well I have no experience with the expansion system so I cant talk about its reliability - but yeah you can use this to ship additional sample maps and have them categorised and available
