Loading wav files into the Loop player
-
I'd like to ship a lot (like 6 Gb) of audio to run inside the Loop Player - and this might be a bit of a problem. Sure I will have to not embed these and use the AudioResources.dat file (or similar).. but having this in the %AppData% location might also be a problem...
Is there a way I can store these thousands of files somewhere else and get them to load into the Audio Player?
Specifically I'm thinking is there a way to tell HISE that AudioResource.dat is in a different location?
Though thinking back @Christoph-Hart did mention he was looking at ways to get Sample Map based sounds into AudioSampleProcessors...unless I'm mistaken?
..so I went looking and yep;
@lindon FYI, I'll probably add the ability of referencing individual samples from a samplemap with the audio looper / scriptnode file player soon. This will make the distribution of large sample sets less awkward than it is right now.
Okay - any time line for this? Pretty please say its before The middle of March....

@Christoph-Hart Could a LinkFile system be used for this?
-
@d-healey -oooooh never thought of that....cool...and simple ...niiiice.
But a bit more complexity for the installer....

I need this for the next project I'll be working on so the chances of it being implemented in the next weeks are rather high...
But it will be definitely develop only, so better get that one running :)

@christoph-hart - oh I have develop branch running - just my mega-project wont load and run in it, everything else will - including anything new I build in develop obviously - so this is good news about that. The mega project? I may well have to rebuild from the ground up in develop....:sad face:
