      In latest Develop the Preset Browser buttons (new, rename, delete) now seem to be located within the column boxes rather than outside. There's no separation between them and kinda feels weird. Anyone seeing the same?

        @danh You're welcome 😄

        Use column area instead of list area for painting the column background - this might have the effect of visually shifting the edit buttons down slightly (they are actually in the same place but will look lower) you can counteract this with the edit button vertical offset property I added.

        I think I should add something to prevent causing a visual change to existing projects. I'll look into it.

            @danh I think setting an offset of 10 should restore it to the default appearance.

            Add this to the preset browser's Data properties "EditButtonOffset": 10

              @d-healey so weirdly in an existing project I only get these options:

              Screenshot 2022-01-21 at 17.19.39.png

              In a new one I get the whole new funky list.... Adding that line works though, but doesn't really solve my issue with the design. It just moves the buttons up a bit. IMO they should be in a separate area like before 🙂

                It's not weird, the old preset browser was added before the new properties existed.

                Can you show me a screen shot of what it looked like previously?

                Well they are exactly where they always have been 😉 In the previous version the column was drawn only as large as the list. This meant that using the look and feel to draw the column background actually only affected the list area and not the entire column. The change I did makes it so that the column background is no longer tied to the list background but is instead... the column background. This has the side-effect you see but makes it much more customisable when using LAF.

                As an example I was able to create this with the buttons within the columns, I couldn't have done this in the previous version without some hacky panel stuff.

                  Gotcha. Below is how it used to be - the boxes are actually quite faint but use itemcolour1

                    Ok I see the problem. I'll need to add something in the source for this.

                    I think I'll set it up so that if the new properties aren't there it will have the old appearance and if the new properties are present it will have the new appearance. So by default a freshly added preset browser will have the new appearance but you can get the old appearance by removing the additional properties - does that sound like a good idea? Opinions please... @Christoph-Hart @ustk

                            It occurred to me people might want the best of both worlds, so I went with a different option and added a property called ButtonsInsideBorder if this is set to true you get the new appearance, if it's set to false (or omitted as will be the case for older projects) you get the old appearance.

                            By default the property is false so when adding a new preset browser you will get the old appearance. I've also set the default of the EditButtonOffset property to 10.

                            If this sounds good to you guys I'll make a pull request.

                            With this new setting you can do things like this:
