Anyway to scale the HISE UI?
-
Trying out a 4k monitor, is there a way to scale the HISE UI?
-
@d-healey What is happening with the UI on a 4k monitor? Any "phone made" screenshot?
-
-
@d-healey So? The font is too tiny maybe? What size is the monitor?
-
@ustk The UI components are tiny. The font I can change, that's not a problem. The monitor is 32".
-
@d-healey I see... Seems small effectively, but not too much for me knowing it's a 32" but of course it depends on people's eyes...
-
@ustk Well it's unreadable unless my head is very close to the screen. Is there a way to scale it like we can scale our plugin UIs?
-
@d-healey Not I am aware of...
-
@ustk Hise components seem built based on absolute pixel size, not relative to the user's screen area as the OS throws. I've seen this proportion (the OS user area) used only for dimensioning the window to full screen. So I imagine getting a zoom like thing or at least a threshold where Hise adapts the size of its component might require a deep modification.

Most OS (Windows and macOS, not sure about Linux) offer a system-wide dpi setting which should increase the size of the UI elements of every app.

@christoph-hart I don't want to scale the whole system, everything else I'm using is readable on this monitor, it's just HISE (so far) that I'm finding to be too small. Also I tried scaling to 125% but fractional scaling is ugly. I think I'll probably go back to the ultrawide :) maybe I'll try a curved one this time...
